Late Chunilal Sapru: A Pioneer in Uptwisters
Sapru Machines was founded by Late Chunilal Sapru, affectionately known as 'Sapru Master’, with over 20 years of experience in Mumbai and Surat's textile industry. With a vision to revolutionize the Indian market, he introduced uptwisters, challenging international manufacturers' dominance. Sapru Machines quickly gained recognition and emerged as a leading manufacturer of textile machines in India.
Continuing the Legacy: Mr. Sanjiv Sapru, Our Current MD
In 1984, Mr. Sanjiv Sapru joined Sapru Machines, carrying forward the rich heritage. Focused on enhancing the design and reliability of our uptwisters, he dedicated four years to meticulous improvements. Fuelled by an unwavering ambition to diversify the company's product range, Mr. Sapru achieved a significant milestone in 1989 when Sapru Machines became the first Indian manufacturer to design and develop a Jari Covering Machine that used vertical hollow spindles. Over the next three years, he relentlessly improved this machine while simultaneously pioneering Sapru's inaugural Lycra/Rubber Covering Machine in 1992.

Under Mr. Sanjiv Sapru's dynamic leadership, Sapru Machines expanded its horizons in the early 2000s. Committed to pushing boundaries, the company introduced its first Two-For-One (TFO) twisting machine.
